Sorry its been so long since my last post. I took a little trip from my hometown of Washington DC all the way to NYC to celebrate my best friend's 21st birthday.
New York is of course the city that never sleeps, however.... it's also cold as hell in winter. If you all plan on visiting or are even from NY and haven't seen many of the sights, here are a few of my recommendations, WITH PICS from MY Nikon D40.
Check them out:
Build-A-Bear Workshop
565 5th Ave
New York, NY 10017
The NY location is HUGE. I had a blast, despite the random Hannah Montana music drowning on repeatedly in the background
H&M
5th Avenue
There are H&M's in almost every major city, but I really enjoyed the one in NY
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
1501 Broadway
New York, NY 10036
I couldn't believe the name when I walked past. This is of course based on the fictional Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. from the movie Forrest Gump. I really enjoyed the food, and the tables were cool. They were decked with signs to put up when you needed, or didnt need your server and of courses they read: "Run Forrest, RUN" and "Stop Forrest, STOP"
Maxie's
If you're looking for HUGE portions, this is your stop. The bestie and I had to share because everything was HUGE.
M&M's World
Theatre District
They have such cute M&M merchandise and decor and of course CANDY!
Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium
I had a blast. It's a little pricey for a museum, but it's worth the whole 30 bucks.
Toys R Us at Times Square
It's really big. Lots of fun for all ages.
The Museum of Sex
If you venture into this erotic exhibit with a mature mind, you'll enjoy it. If you're looking for a place to be a perv, you'll enjoy it too. *laughs*
Avenue Q on Broadway
I LOVED this play. It'sthe adult version of Sesame street and with characters like Lucy the Slut and Gary Coleman, you know you're in for a good laugh.
Well these are just a few of some of my favorite places, but in a city like NY, the options are ENDLESS.
