How long have you been doing make up?
Ive been doing makeup for 5 years


Do you remember your first cosmetology related job/gig & what was it like?
My first makeup job was when I was hired to work for MAC , I was stupid hype! I am still with the company.

What make-up pet peeves do you have?
Pet peeve #1 HARSH BROWS!!!!! Brows can be enhanced, but still should look natural.
Pet peeve #2: HARSH lipliners, if you want your lipliner to show, ok, go ahead and do it , but BLEND BLEND BLEND HUNNY!


Whats the hardest part about your field?
The hardest part of my field I guess with working at MAC, is helping customers that do have a clue of what they are looking for! Where do you start, so many different choices blush, lipstick, foundation, shadow, eyeliner......where? :)



What are some common misconceptions about cosmetology?
One common misconception about makeup is that it will break your skin out! Not true, if you take care of your skin, and wash your face day and night, then there will not be any problems.


Can you offer any tips for people looking to become make-up artist but have no experience yet?
Go on youtube and look up makeup tutorials, I learn new tips and tricks all they time from youtube tutorials. Practice on your friends and as you become more comfortable youll get better and better, and keep promoting your self. Ask photographers if they need a makeupartist, you may have to do a couple of shoots free, but at least you will learn and become a strong artist. Also challenge your self. Makeup is a blessing because if you mess up you can take it right off and start over!
